XCOM Team

XCOM assembled a world-class team to develop core technology, develop our flagship product, and launch early sales. Critical engineering, development, and quality control capabilities remain in house, with the "heavy lifting" of manufacturing outsourced for MEMS fabrication, packaging, and electronics.

Daniel J. Hyman, Ph.D., President and Chief Technology Officer, is recognized as a worldwide expert in RF MEMS technology and packaging. Prior to co-founding XCOM, he was a critical member of the early Hughes RF MEMS development team under DARPA and Air Force programs. Dr. Hyman have given over 50 invited business and technical talks and refereed technical papers with numerous awards. He holds six patents related to RF MEMS devices and applications, as well as other patents issued and pending. Dr. Hyman is the point of contact for customer and investor relations.

Mark K. Hyman, Co-Founder and Board Member, previous Vice President of Administration. Mr. Hyman previously ran the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Beckman Institute of Univ. Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He previously founded and ran a software business in control systems and automation.

Peter Bogdanoff, Ph.D., Co-Founder and Technical Advisory Board Member, is an expert in material science and metallurgy receiving numerous publications and achievement awards, including Winston Churchill and NSF Fellowships. Dr. Bogdanoff earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science from Caltech.

Steve Johns, Board Member & Investor, is a founder of Ardesta, LLC, the largest institutional investor in XCOM. Steve is also the CEO and founder of Reed Rigging, the largest event equipment company in the Midwest. He has over 20 years of business development, finance and M&A experience, serving as senior vice president of strategy and new ventures for Launch Media, and the president of MEMS Technology, Inc. the predecessor to Ardesta.
